At Totus I work alongside all of the divisions on a daily basis, managing a variety of commercially focused projects, supporting the business in its growth. Drawing upon my career experience so far and knowledge of the industry I'm well placed to bring the divisions together towards shared objectives for the business as a whole. 

I graduated from Newcastle University in 2014 with an MSc in Clean Technology and BSc in Environmental Science. This science background lead me into an analyst role for in Biffa’s Fuels team, which quickly developed into managing multiple elements of fuel export and UK RDF supply. Looking to broaden my knowledge base, I then took a role in Biffa’s Specialist Services division managing total waste management contracts for a range of customers from online retail, food and manufacturing businesses to UK wide distribution service providers. Here I gained a broad understanding of the waste industry, managing a network of suppliers to resolve my customers’ needs which ranged from ad-hoc emergency resolutions to technological or mechanical installations providing longer term cost savings and efficiency improvements. I have a NEBOSH Certificate qualification which I find is particularly useful tool whilst working in the waste industry. 

I had followed Totus for a number of years and have always admired how dynamic the business is so when the opportunity arose to join the team I was particularly excited. Since joining, I have found that the ability to be involved in such a variety of sectors and projects makes the role even more engaging.

My pet rabbits and cats occupy a lot of my spare time and, as if they weren't enough, I also volunteer for my local animal rescue shelter. Cooking is another passion of mine, especially outside on the BBQ. Travelling to a warmer Mediterranean climate with great cuisine is my idea of a perfect holiday.
