I’m responsible for the Alternative Fuels division and team, we work closely producers and end users to develop successful supply chains and promote the use of secondary fuels across the waste management industry, the energy recovery sector and other energy intensive industries. It is a market that is growing and developing at a fast pace and will continue to do so in the drive for decarbonisation so it’s vital that we’re at the forefront of it with high quality solutions.

My journey in the waste and recycling industry started in April 1987 when I joined a London waste paper merchant called J&J Maybank Ltd. Starting from the ground up, I learned all aspects of their operations at various depots during a two year management training programme. This gave me a great start in the industry, in the early 1990’s I was able to transfer these skills and experiences into the mainstream waste collection and processing sector. I spent the next twenty years working in various operational and business development management roles which included MRF’s, transfer stations, medical waste treatment, waste collection and early incarnations of waste to energy. I have spent the last ten years in commercial roles focused on the recycled wood and RDF export market, a sector that I have found really interesting and rewarding.

I have joined a great team at Totus, there is an amazing amount of experience and talent within the business to drive our growth and development plans. This will ensure that we’re well placed to fully meet the current and future needs waste treatment market. Outside of work, I live with my long term partner and two dogs, we spend a lot of our free time relaxing with long walks in the countryside. I have two grown up sons that are now building their own lives and careers, I’m immensely proud of them and everything that they’ve achieved.
