My career began in the pharmaceutical industry, where I spent 14 years in research, manufacturing and sales roles. In the last 15 years I have specialised in hazardous waste management, working for leaders in the waste sector including Biffa, PHS, Reconomy and now Totus.
As the head of the hazardous waste division at Totus, I manage a team of experts to ensure we deliver optimum services for our customers. I maintain a balance of client-facing delivery work, liaising with our partners across Europe and proactively interfacing with all internal departments to continuously develop Totus’ offering.
When I joined Totus, it was clear to me straight away that the team have a brilliant all-round professional and collaborative approach. It is a pleasure to work in such a dynamic environment, where individuals are actively encouraged to use their entrepreneurial flair to develop and deliver innovative solutions. This ultimately results in us achieving the desired results for our clients and allows us to go home at the end of the day with great satisfaction.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending as much quality time with my family as possible. As most dads will know, this mainly involves chauffeuring the kids to football, netball or other clubs/outings or being walked (not the other way around!) by our energetic dog Stanley. Where possible, I do look for ‘me-time’ to head out for a round of golf, fit in some mountain biking, watch football and (where time allows) tackling one or two home improvement projects.
